FAQ

Yes, all natural stones are porous. They can absorb water and other liquids into tiny holes in its surface.

As natural stones are porous, any usage of the stones will need an application of marble sealer every year or every few months to keep damaging liquids out of the stone. If you put a few drops of water on your marble and they sink (absorb) in, this means your stone is not sealed well enough. The liquids should be beaded on top, otherwise you may experience staining.

We would highly recommend to apply sealant on the stones. For the surface and sides, it will be good to apply water and oil sealant and the base the water sealant

If marble is not sealed, it can easily absorb liquids and it can be almost impossible to clean the stains. This is a disadvantage of marble countertops in the kitchen where wine, mustard, tomato juice, and other liquids could be an issue if you don’t keep up with sealing the marble on time.

Although we had applied the sealant (impregnator solution), it doesn’t mean that it will not absorb the stain. The sealant (impregnator) act as a protector for the stones, but if the stain is left on the surface for more that 1 hours, the liquid will still be absorb into the stones. Especially for carbonated drinks, wine, soy sauce, coffee, as they are towards the acidic side, they will still be able to stain the stone when not taken care for a long time.

Yes, we have chemical to removed the stains, you will have to contact us to do the cleaning of the stains. However, for acidic/ carbonated drinks, even when we remove the stain, there will be a slight marking on the stone. These marking are etching on the stone. When the stone have etch marking, it means the surface of the stone is damage by the acid, an you will need us to do repolishing on the stone.

There’s a lot reason to it, but it is definitely not the stone problem. It can be someone doing renovation next door or nearby, which create strong vibration to the building you are staying. These vibration will cause flooring material to have some movement that will cause the cracks to appear.

If the Tiles doesn’t states it have tonal varies, it means that the production time of the tiles are different. Each time when the production factory product the tiles, their’s colour will differ from the previous batch either dark 1 tone or lighter 1 tone. as this are all. That is why we always remind our customer to check their quantity carefully as we will not want them to end up using the same tiles but in 2 different batch which have some slight tonal difference.
